Lauren - this is just wonderful. I am so happy to have found another multi-passionate creative here. I posted on insta last night - it was my 1000th post, I wrote something special but I also wrote something hoping to connect - it didn't - well if it did no one told me it did... it's such a curious place - I only post there two days a week as I'm all in for Substack - it's so spacious and generous with us! This is quite encouraging. I've had my 'stack for 8 months and it's hard to see when no one has pledged to subscribe. Although my audience is growing, it's still difficult to see any potential for pledgers.

Hi Jae - Do you read my Substack Tips emails? I've seen incredible growth here and lots of connection and conversions to paid too. They come out each Friday, xx

Hey Lauren, I didn't recognise the sender of this post when it popped up in my app, but it's you!

I've noticed the name change, is this a sign of things to come? If so, I'm here for it and I'm super excited for what's to come.

I've been a full time creative since 2019, and I still get comments from family members asking when I'm going back to work (my background is in nursing). It's frustrating when your passion is not considered a 'proper' job by people, but I'm learning to ignore them as they're not my people, and I certainly wouldn't take advice from them 😅.

I think you absolutely can make a full time income from being creative, but I could do with some more help/ tips. Thank you for sharing this post, it was very much needed 😊
